Hi Richard,
Just a quick note to say "thanks" for allowing us to experience Villa Pico Bonito.  Wow, what a wonderful place!  We enjoyed meeting your people and seeing your beautiful grounds.  We especially liked your Infinity pool where we hung out for several hours one morning.  We loved the Bejuco Lodge....you've thought of all the amenities.  It was just what we needed.   A wonderful place for R & R to quietly celebrate our 43rd anniversary.  Thanks again!
We are considering having a family reunion there is a couple years.  You'll surely hear from us.  Gratefully yours, Mark and Brenda Young, Little Hands, Big Hearts mission in Trujillo, Colon

Speechless. The view is amazing, the staff is fabulous...it's so much that one could ask for when speaking of a get away. While me and my friends stayed here we went zip lining, bathing in hot springs, horse back riding through the mountains, white water rafting...my entire stay was wonderful. And did I mention the food? I totally was unprepared for how goooooooooooood the food was. A+...I pray that Richard and his staff continue to succeed in helping people achieve an awesome get away.

One of the many reasons I post these reviews is to praise my great staff.

My wife and I stayed at the Villas Pico Bonito for a few days in early March 2014 and it was the 'best' on our 'best and worst' list for the two weeks we spent in Honduras.

Our experience with Villas Pico Bonito began when we were greeted by their very pleasant driver at the marine terminal in La Ceiba. Although there was a language barrier (we have since promised ourselves to learn more Spanish...or at least get an easier to follow Spanish-to-English translation book!) he was quick to understand we wanted to stop at a grocery store, which he did, and was patient with us as we tried to string together coherent sentences in Spanish as we drove up to the Villas.

Upon arriving at the Villas, we were greeted by Wilder and Ana who were genuinely happy to see us, show us around and to our new home for a few days, the La Catarata home. The moment we walked in my jaw dropped open and the wife giggled as we saw absolutely picture-perfect postcard views of the jungle, grounds and the Cangrehal river out the front porch in both the living-room and bedroom. And the unit is fully furnished including a large ice-making fridge/freezer, a complete kitchen and a 50" flat screen TV with a library of DVDs to choose from.

We ate on-site at the restaurant/bar and the food and hospitality was fantastic, in fact my wife enjoyed the meals at Villas Pico Bonito more than anywhere during our two week trip to Honduras.

There's plenty of things to do (check out their website) and the staff will arrange everything for you. We signed up for the zip-lining adventure in Sambo Creek, which was a lot of fun and relaxing, and Ana took care of everything including arranging our ride and coordinating the trip with other guests at the Villas. We also hiked the trail in Pico bonito National Park where we came across a Coral snake (Yup!), snapped dozens of pictures and cooled off in one of the four waterfalls that crossed the trail.

When we weren't zip-lining or hiking the trails we just enjoyed the place. We relaxed around and in the infinity pool (another stunning view) with cool drinks from the bar, read our books in total peace on our porch, enjoyed watching and listening to the many species of birds and had restful nights with sounds from the river and waterfalls as a backdrop. Our best sleeps in Honduras.

As others have already mentioned, the staff (and Lucy, the resident Mastiff) are absolutely fantastic. They're all friendly, extremely welcoming and really make one feel at home rather than as a guest. Come here thinking your best-friends place, not a hotel.

I would recommend Villas Pico Bonito to couples young and old (we're in our 40's) and families looking for a relaxing and peaceful getaway, and those looking to mix in some jungle adventures.

Thank you, Villas Pico Bonito. We hope to see you again soon.
